What we do

While the IDF provides core equipment there are many things that can make the life of a combat soldier in the field more comfortable and effective: gloves, thermal clothing, battery packs, and personal hygiene products, just to name just a few.
 

Since October 7th, Kehillat Eretz Hemdah has procured and delivered over a million US dollars worth of equipment for soldiers. We converted our synagogue into a fulfillment center and with the help of dozens of volunteers we have sourced and delivered thousands of items of equipment to bases around Israel. We're only able to do this because of generous donors around the world.

In addition to sourcing and delivering equipment, we have also responded to the call for increased demand for Tzitzit that are compliant with IDF uniform regulations. Tzitzit are specially knotted ritual fringes, or tassels, worn by Jews. Aside from being an important mitzvah, wearing tzitzit is strongly associated with the protection and redemption of the Jewish people. The desire to wear tzitzit is coming not just from religious soldiers but traditional and in some cases, otherwise, secular. We have delivered over 60,000 tzitzit.
